Dubai approves its longevity and advanced health authority’s strategy

Dubai has approved the strategy and operating budget of Dubai Longevity Authority, the body responsible for longevity, wellness and advanced health technologies. WAM reported the news on 27 September following the authority’s inaugural board meeting. The announcement does not disclose the budget amount.

The authority itself was established on 6 June 2026. The latest news therefore concerns moving towards implementation, rather than opening a new medical service in September. Its work covers research, clinical trials and the subsequent market delivery of solutions. The authority is developing an approach to activity licensing, minimum standards and oversight.

One area of work is a controlled pilot environment in which selected developers will be able to test solutions under regulatory supervision. Further development of this programme is a future step. The announcement does not mean that all the technologies mentioned are already available to patients or that new services are automatically covered by insurance.
