Apartment near the metro in Dubai: why the path to the entrance is important

A short distance to the station is only useful in conjunction with a convenient walking route.

From what point to count

Find the entrance to the apartment building and the specific entrance to the station. The distance between the centers of objects on the map may not take into account fences, walkways and catwalks. Walk the route as you would use it on weekdays, with a regular bag or stroller.

Full trip

Add waiting for the elevator, walking to the platform, transferring, and walking after getting off. When comparing two apartments, use the same departure time and same destination. Sometimes a slightly more distant house benefits from a direct route without an unnecessary transition.

Comfort at different times

Assess lighting, shade and exposed areas. A service entrance accessible during the day may not be your regular route. For a house under construction, check separately which connection with the station already exists and which is only supposed to be connected.
