Price per square foot and meter: how to compare listings

Area units must be converted to the same type before real estate values can be compared.

Basic conversion

One square foot is equal to 0.09290304 square meters. To convert price per square foot to price per square meter, divide it by 0.09290304. To reverse the conversion, the price per meter is multiplied by this value.

Conditional calculation

If the cost is Dh1,500 per square foot, that's approximately Dh16,146 per square meter. Rounding is suitable for preliminary comparison, and the calculation of the full price should be done using the original values. This is a mathematical example, not a market quote.

Same area

Before outputting, check what is included in the area of both objects. Balcony, terrace and different measurement rules can change the result. A low price per unit of area does not in itself prove profitability if the layout or usable space is significantly different.
