Corner apartment: light, windows and furniture arrangement

There are benefits to additional windows, but they must be weighed against privacy and useful walls.

Two directions of light

An angular layout can provide different views and light throughout the day. To evaluate, note the orientation of each window. Not all rooms receive the same lighting, and a neighboring building can significantly change the scene on a particular floor.

Space for furniture

Large glazing reduces the length of blank walls. Check where to place the closet, TV and bed without blocking the passages. If furniture is shown on an advertising plan, check its dimensions: conventional images often create a feeling of greater freedom.

Privacy and climate

Look at your neighbors' windows and the ability to use curtains during working hours. For corner rooms, it is useful to check the air distribution and the absence of areas where a person is uncomfortable. Compare the benefits of glazing to your actual routine, not just the effect of a panoramic photo.
