Dubai digital projects prepare for the third Create Apps final

Ahead of the Create Apps Championship ceremony on 7 October, entrepreneurs described how Dubai's digital ecosystem helps services scale, including a rental-market platform.

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy is preparing to hold the third Create Apps Championship awards ceremony on 7 October. Ahead of the final, winners of earlier editions told the Emirates News Agency how the competition helped them turn an app idea into a working business. The programme offers training, mentoring and introductions to potential partners and investors. Winners of the current edition had not been announced when this article was prepared.

One example is Takeem, a service linked to rental property. Its chief executive said that, after participating in the programme, the platform had onboarded more than 100,000 units representing over AED 9 billion in annual rental value. This is the company's statement about the scale of its own operations, not official statistics for Dubai's entire rental market. Another team, Boom, described how a competition project became a functioning product.

For clients, the story shows that digital tools are becoming a more visible part of property services. Apps may simplify payments, records and communication with tenants. But a platform's existence does not itself verify ownership, contract terms or the actual return on a property. Official records, the documents and the specific transaction terms remain the primary basis for choosing a home or investment.
