As of September 27, 2026, the center's FAQ indicates fees of 10 AED for visitors from outside the UAE, 5 AED for Emirates ID holders and 8 AED when visiting through a tour operator. These are published categories, and not a ready-made calculation for a family with children. Age exemptions and the total for a specific composition are checked in the form.

The old statement "entry is always free for everyone" does not correspond to the current FAQ page I read. However, a free tour and an access fee are different conditions. Do not compare the cost of an independent visit with the intermediary’s package until it is clear what exactly it includes.

Clothes: prepare in advance, rather than looking for a solution at the entrance

Don't expect mandatory free clothing to be provided to all visitors. If a family is looking to purchase or rent, availability and conditions must be confirmed separately. It is much safer to prepare a suitable kit at home.

For your child, choose clothes that are comfortable for you to walk and wait in, taking into account the rules of the center. Do not transfer the requirements of one palace or museum to a mosque: this is a separate object with its own regulations. It is better to decide on a specific children's age category before arrival.

Schedule: Friday is different from other days

The official FAQ for the inspection date indicates visiting from Saturday to Thursday from 09:00 to 20:30. On Friday there are two slots available: from 09:00 to 11:30 and from 14:30 to 20:30. The travel plan should take into account the break, not just the general evening closure.

For the selected date, confirm the available time in the appointment system. Ramadan, holidays and special programs may have separate conditions. Night Sura Tour is an independent format; its presence does not mean the usual free family passage at any time of the night.

If you are coming from Dubai, do not schedule your arrival close to the selected time. The road, parking, the path to the entrance and security check are different parts of logistics. A one-size-fits-all promise of trip duration is not a substitute for checking your itinerary.

What to watch together

Start with details that the child can observe without an explanatory sign. Compare the repeating column shapes and patterns, and see how light changes the impression of white marble. You can suggest finding one motif in different places and explain how the options are similar.

Another issue is reflection. What changes when architecture is visible in water? Why does the same element look different from a different point of view? In this case, the family remains on the permitted route and does not approach the water or the restriction for the sake of the shot.
