Family vacations are starting to become more expensive unnoticed: transfers, baby food, visits and surcharges are added to flights and hotels. To understand how much money you will need, you need to collect one estimate for specific dates and family composition. The average price of a “holiday in Dubai” does not explain what is included in this amount and what payments remain outside it.
Fix the initial conditions
Start with the number of nights and actual days spent. Seven nights does not always mean exactly seven days of food and transport: an early arrival and late departure may add part of an eighth day. Indicate the age of the children, the required bedding and luggage.
The next line is the trip format. If you spend most of your time at the hotel, the transport basket is smaller. If you travel daily, the location of your home affects money and time. It is impossible to compare hotel prices without the same program: a remote cheap room can create additional trips every day.

These are the published RTA and DTC values as of the date of inspection. DTC specifically states Salik surcharges, AED 20 surcharge when traveling through Sharjah, and possible fare changes during periods of high demand and events. Therefore, the price of transfer to the hotel cannot be announced based on one initial amount. For an ordered car with a child seat, a separate service and its cost are confirmed; the table does not guarantee a seat in an airport taxi.
In your transport budget, separate the price of the card and the balance used: the included 19 AED should not be re-added as another purchase. Replenishment and further travel are taken into account based on actual expenses. Do not transfer the airport taxi fare to any trip within the city or another emirate.
Accommodation: separate line Tourism Dirham
For holiday homes in Dubai, DET sets Tourism Dirham AED 10 per bedroom per night for Standard and AED 15 for Deluxe, regardless of the number of guests. The category and unit of account must be checked in the permit and account of the object. These are the rates for holiday homes; They cannot be applied to any hotel in the UAE.
Ask the provider to indicate whether this fee is included in the booking total. If included, there is no need to add it to the estimate a second time. If billed separately, the line must contain the category, number of taxable bedrooms and nights. The price of accommodation without such an explanation is not yet final.
How to get the full amount for your family
The flight is confirmed by the carrier's final basket with luggage and seats. Accommodation - an offer for the required dates, for all adults and children, with selected beds. Check the functionality of a specific card and the method of depositing. The inscription about the accepted payment system does not confirm that any instrument issued in another country will work. This is a matter of the bank, the seller and the specific transaction.
Which document to get before booking
The final estimate should include the amount, payment date, return terms, and the degree of confirmation of each line. Separate expenses already paid, upcoming mandatory payments, daily limit and reserve. Then the family understands both the final cost and how much available money is required on the day of departure.
