Dubai Municipality has opened registration for the 2026–2027 winter camping season in Al Ruwayyah. The season will run from 1 November 2026 to 30 April 2027. Its announcement of 26 October states capacity for 600 camps, approximately 120% above the previous level.
The new season provides 50 dedicated caravan spaces and ten equipped camps available for daily rental. Alongside standard 400-square-metre plots, double plots of up to 800 square metres are returning. The municipality has also allocated ten spaces for winter events, family gatherings and community programmes.
UAE nationals can book seasonal plots through the municipality's official portal and the DubaiNow app. The stated seasonal booking period is three to six months. Caravans and ready-to-use camps have separate booking arrangements subject to the applicable terms. Availability of a particular option should be checked when booking.
For a family considering a move to Dubai, the announcement highlights another organised winter leisure option outside the densely built-up city. When choosing where to live, journeys to seasonal destinations can be considered alongside everyday school and work routes.
