Aldar (in Russian) has published its results for the first nine months of 2026. According to the company's announcement of 27 October, group profit after tax reached AED 7.1 billion, up 19% year on year. Revenue for the same period rose 11% to AED 26.2 billion.

Group development sales, meanwhile, totalled AED 18.9 billion, down 34% from the comparable period. UAE sales fell 46% to AED 14.4 billion. These figures refer to project sales, whereas revenue recognition reflects delivery against previously signed contracts.

At the end of September, the group's development revenue backlog stood at AED 71.6 billion, including AED 59.3 billion in the UAE. The company also reported handing over almost 2,000 homes and apartments to buyers during the nine months. These indicators describe the scale of the group's operations and the progress of its projects during the reporting period.

For an off-plan home buyer, the report is a useful source of information about the developer, allowing sales, fulfilment of obligations and actual handovers to be compared. A particular purchase requires its own assessment of construction progress, the contract, payments and the selected property's expected handover.

Rising profit alongside lower new sales illustrates why a single measure gives an incomplete picture of a business. When choosing a project, it is useful to consider company results together with the progress of the relevant construction phase and the quality of homes already delivered.
