Dubai has announced plans to invite 500 professionals from five communities to take part in 500 Future Minds. The announcement was published on 21 October. The initiative forms part of Dubai Future Week, organised by Dubai Future Foundation on 18–21 November 2026 at Emirates Towers and the Museum of the Future.
The programme provides for 100 participants from each group: teachers, frontline health responders, local entrepreneurs, economy and finance professionals, and urban planners, architects and engineers. The last category is one group of 100 people.
Participants will explore possible developments in their sectors, the effects of new technologies and practical priorities. The format brings urban change into discussion with people working in education, healthcare, business and the design of the city.
The programme’s official page specifies a separate one-day gathering on 21 November, from 8:30 am to 1 pm. English is the main working language. Applicants must work or operate a business in Dubai, and applications are reviewed; organisers say decisions will be communicated by 1 November.
For a family or entrepreneur considering relocation, the announcement shows which professional communities are contributing to discussions about the city’s development. Its practical relevance concerns the business and educational environment. An announced discussion is not an approved construction programme for schools, hospitals or housing, and it does not establish when infrastructure in a particular district will change.
